This rustic timber restaurant-bar is down by the harbor.  It is decorated with nautical relics and the outdoor terrace overlooks the harbor. The restaurant offers fresh local seafood and other local and international dishes, as well as various beverages. Gamli Baukur serves also as a frequent venue for live music and preserves a collection of local maritime items.

Once home to Iceland's first cooperative, this historic building now houses a restaurant serving everything from smoked puffin to pizza. The real specialty here, though, is seafood, with lobster, shrimp and salt cod on offer.
